Pet Only (No breeding rights purchased) Contract.

The Seller's Responsibilities:
1. The Seller guarantees that the puppy is in good health, excluding potential intestinal parasites, and has received the following:
a. Age-appropriate immunizations
b. Health Guarantee
c. Deworming
d. Health certificate (provided upon possession by the Buyer)
2. The Seller provides a warranty against debilitating congenital defects for a period of two (2) years from the date of sale.
a. The Seller assures that all necessary precautions have been taken in selecting the sire/dam and breeding process to prevent hereditary issues.
b. Debilitating congenital defects are defined as conditions present from birth that are either life-threatening or hinder the puppy from fulfilling its intended purpose.
c. Any suspected debilitating congenital defect must be confirmed by a licensed veterinarian, including necropsy if the puppy passes away.
- The Buyer must provide any requested veterinary records related to the puppy's condition within seven days of diagnosis.
- The Seller has the right to request a second opinion from a veterinarian or veterinary specialist of their choice, at their own expense.
- If the necropsy results in an undetermined or inconclusive diagnosis, the warranty is void.
3. If a congenital defect is identified within the warranty period, the Buyer has the option to receive a replacement puppy of equal or lesser value from the Seller's next available litter.
- The original puppy does not need to be returned, but proper documentation of the congenital issue is required. Spay/neuter proof with substantial microchip will be required.
- The Breeder will determine which puppy of equal or lesser value will be provided as a replacement, which may take 6-18 months.
- Color or gender of the replacement puppy is not guaranteed.
- The Buyer is responsible for any shipping fees associated with the replacement puppy.
4. If the puppy is euthanized or disposed of without obtaining a second opinion from the Seller's veterinarian, the Buyer forfeits their rights to a replacement puppy.
5. This warranty does not cover viral illnesses, infections, improper bites, stress-related illness, hernias, hypoglycemia, parasites (such as Giardia or Coccidiosis), cancer, endocrine disorders, or any illness caused by ingestion of foreign objects, food, chemicals, or physical injury.
6. No additional warranties or guarantees, whether expressed or implied, are provided under this contract except as stated. This warranty is non-transferable.
7. The Seller does not accept responsibility for any veterinarian or healthcare expenses under no circumstances
Responsibilities of the Buyer:
1. The Buyer will pay the Seller a total sum of _______ which does not include shipping and a health certificate fee.
2. The Buyer is responsible for all costs associated with the sale and transportation of the animal. The risk of loss or injury to the animal is on the Buyer after the puppy leaves the Seller.
3. The Buyer must have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of taking possession
4. If the puppy is found to be in poor health, the Buyer can return the puppy to the Seller at their own expense, and buyer will replace puppy with another puppy of equal/ lesser value and will require A written statement from a licensed veterinarian stating the defect or illness is required.
5. Failure to take the puppy to a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours voids the health warranty.
6. The Buyer must ensure that the puppy is kept in a kennel or waiting room at the veterinary office and that the exam room is properly disinfected. The puppy should not walk on the floor and a clean towel or blanket is recommended.
7. The Buyer is responsible for all medical expenses related to the treatment of intestinal parasites, even if the puppy had parasites when it was sent home.
8. The Buyer must provide the best possible care for the puppy, including housing it indoors, feeding it premium quality food, maintaining a healthy weight, and regularly visiting a licensed veterinarian.
9. The Buyer should consider providing basic obedience training to the puppy within the first year of owning it.
10. Strenuous exercise should be avoided until the puppy is over one year old to minimize joint damage.
11. If the Buyer cannot keep the puppy, they must contact the Seller to determine a suitable rehoming plan. The puppy should not be placed in a rescue group, shelter, pound, research laboratory, and must be returned to the Breeder immediately at no cost back to the buyer.
12. The Seller has the right to use any pictures of the dog posted by the Buyer on social media for reposting and sharing purposes.
SPAY/NEUTER-
1. Spaying/neutering/gonad sparing surgery (GSS) by a licensed, reputable veterinarian is required on the above puppy at 12 months of age.
A. Proof of this, in the form of a Certificate of Spay/Neuter from the Veterinarian, must be forwarded to the Seller by the time the puppy reaches 12 months of age.
B. If the Seller does not receive this documentation within this time, the warranty will become null and void. Puppy must be returned to breeder IMMEDIATELY
2. It is understood that at the time of sale that the puppy is not to be used for breeding. It is a representation of its breed and it is structurally and temperamentally suited for a companion and / or working dog. It I being sold as a pet without breeding rights.
